Anaheim, CA – In case you missed it, POLITICO’s California Playbook is reporting this morning on a new survey in California’s 40th Congressional District showing Congresswoman Young Kim leading Congressman Ken Calvert 43 percent to 34 percent. The poll was conducted by Grassroots Targeting, a polling firm led by President Trump’s 2024 chief data consultant. The full survey memo can be viewed HERE.
The new numbers follow a poll released last month by Public Opinion Strategies showing the race statistically tied, with Calvert at 35 percent and Kim at 34 percent.

“Young Kim’s growing momentum in this race makes it crystal clear that voters are responding to her message of fresh leadership and her record of delivering on campaign promises to lower costs, cut taxes and clean up Washington,”said Young Kim Spokesman Chris Pack. “Voters are sick and tired of a corrupt career politician like Ken Calvert, who has been part of the D.C. swamp for nearly four decades and whose career has been plagued by corruption controversies and FBI investigations, all while costs continue to rise on Californians. Calvert incessantly complains about Washington getting nothing done, seemingly oblivious to the fact that after nearly 40 years, he has become Washington.”
