Securing the Border & Enforcing Immigration Laws

Border security is national security. Joe Biden opened our border and purposely created a crisis that overwhelmed law enforcement, and allowed deadly fentanyl to flood into our country. I visited the Southern Border, saw the crisis firsthand, and stood with Border Patrol to push real solutions. That’s why I worked with President Trump to make the largest investment in border security in American history: $46.5 billion for border wall construction and more than $150 billion for immigration enforcement to hire thousands of Border Patrol agents and deploy hundreds of miles of smart-technology barriers.

But securing the border also means enforcing the law, which is why I supported the Laken Riley Act to ensure illegal immigrants who commit crimes are detained, deported, and not released back into our communities. It’s simple: enforce our laws, secure the border, no amnesty, and put American safety first.
