Ken Calvert Caught Pulling Fake Trump Endorsement Ad

Anaheim, CA- Remember that recent TV ad from 33-year incumbent Ken Calvert where he claimed to be endorsed by President Trump in his race against Young Kim? According to Politico, the ad was quietly replaced “without two ‘endorsement’ lines that appeared in the first ad.” 

Here’s the kicker: When the Calvert campaign was asked point blank whether the White House asked them to change the ad, they declined to comment.

If Congressman Calvert is as close to President Trump as he claims, then he knows the White House does not tolerate deceptive ads that suggest endorsements that do not exist. So, either Calvert is not as close to the president as he says, or he simply does not care that he is operating against the president’s wishes.
