Ken Calvert Finds Himself FBI-Adjacent. Again. 

Anaheim, CA – Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Corrupt Congressman Ken Calvert finds himself uncomfortably close to an FBI investigation. It’s like 2007 all over again, when FBI agents examined Calvert’s financial records amid scrutiny over steering taxpayer money to near properties he owns.

But this time, FBI agents searched properties connected to Ontario Councilman Alan Wapner and served a related search warrant at Ontario International Airport. Wapner happens to be president of the Ontario International Airport Authority, and Ken Calvert isn’t exactly a stranger to him. In fact, the two worked together for years on the airport. 

Calvert helped make the transfer of Ontario International Airport to the Ontario International Airport Authority, with Wapner serving as its president, spent years steering tens of millions in taxpayer funding for the airport, and the FAA specifically identified Calvert and Wapner as “key players” who made the transfer happen.

But what else should we expect from a career politician who has spent 34 years in Congress bouncing from one controversy to the next? Maybe after nearly four decades in Washington, it’s the only trick that old dog has left.
