Young Kim joins list of conservative veteran and minority candidates endorsed by the Guardian Fund
Fullerton, CA – Last week, the Guardian Fund PAC announced their endorsement of Young Kim for Congress as they rolled out their 2020 endorsed candidate list. Kim joins four U.S. Senators seeking reelection and six candidates looking to flip seats on the PAC’s impressive list of endorsed veteran and minority candidates.
The Guardian Fund, currently chaired by Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03), is a political action committee created in 2012 with the goal of electing more conservative veteran and minority candidates to Congress. The PAC works with diverse candidates so that Congress can properly reflect and represent the American people in government, giving a voice to individuals of all backgrounds.
In its announcement, the Guardian Fund cited Young Kim’s personal story and commitment to public service as reasons for their endorsement. Kim is an immigrant to the United States and has lived her own American Dream – starting her career as a small business owner and defeating long odds to become the first-ever Korean-American Republican woman to serve in the California State Assembly.
“I have long said that my family represents what the American Dream truly means. We need elected officials that understand this sentiment and bring these values to Washington. The Guardian Fund has endorsed some of the finest Americans running for office this cycle who, like me, are committed to serving and working for positive change,” stated Young Kim.
California’s 39th congressional district overlaps portions of Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and includes the cities and communities of Anaheim Hills, Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Diamond Bar, Hacienda Heights, La Habra Heights, Rowland Heights, Walnut, and Chino Hills.
