BREAKING: Young Kim Beats Gil Cisneros in Q4 Fundraising; Cisneros Continues to Break “No PAC Money” Pledge

Kim Ends 2019 Q4 with More Cash-on-Hand than Cisneros

Fullerton, CA – After posting one of the strongest fundraising quarters of 2019, FEC reports on Friday showed Young Kim has outraised her opponent, Democrat Gil Cisneros, in California’s 39th district. Kim closed the year with $489,360 raised in the final quarter while Cisneros pulled in $409,718.

Reports also showed that Kim ended the year with more cash-on-hand than Cisneros. Kim starts the year with a war chest of $889,481 cash-on-hand and over $1.3 million raised over the course of her campaign.

“I’m honored and grateful for the continued support for my campaign for Congress. Our momentum is a direct reflection of our grassroots support and the growing dissatisfaction of Gil Cisneros’ job in Congress,” said former Assemblywoman Young Kim. “The people of the 39th district expect their Member of Congress to represent their values, not vote with the socialist wing of the Democrat Party.”

Notably, FEC reports showed Gil Cisneros’ fundraising includes close to half a million dollars raised from PACs. In 2017, Cisneros disparaged all forms of PAC money, specifically announcing, “I will not accept any PAC money to my campaign.” In a recent fundraiser, his invitation stated that he “gladly accepts contributions from non-corporate PACs.”
