Kim Finishes Q3 with Almost $2 Million Cash-On-Hand
Fullerton, CA – Rep. Young Kim announced raising $981,000 in the FEC’s third quarter, bringing her total raised for the 2022 election to $3 million. Congresswoman Kim remains one of the top fundraising incumbents of any party, and continues to lead Republicans and freshman members in dollars raised a year out from her election. Kim has the highest cash-on-hand of any Republican the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is targeting in 2022.
Kim’s third quarter total nearly triples her out-of-touch, left-wing Democrat opponent, Jay Chen, who raised $350,000 and has $782,000 cash-on-hand. So far in the off-year, Rep. Kim has outraised her opponent by $2 million, shaking the hopes of Democrats who are looking to target this seat.
“Since her first day in office, Congresswoman Kim has been a strong voice for common sense solutions,” said Sam Oh, general consultant to Young Kim. “Small businesses and working class families have no greater champion in Congress and Young Kim’s strong grassroots support is a direct reflection of her effectiveness in Congress. Team Young is ready to win in 2022.”
Rep. Young Kim represents California’s 39th Congressional District, which includes portions of Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties. Young Kim is a first generation Korean-American who ran for Congress to ensure every American has a chance at the American Dream. She was elected to Congress in November 2020 and sits on the House Committees of Foreign Affairs, Small Business, and Science, Space and Technology in the 117th Congress.
