CA-40: Young Kim for Congress Releases Second Television Ad “Different”

Yorba Linda, CA – Today, the Young Kim for Congress campaign released its second television ad of the 2022 general election, titled “Different.” The powerful ad paints a stark contrast between Rep. Kim and her far-left challenger Asif Mahmood.

The ad compares Mahmood’s leftist policy platform that will increase inflation, double income taxes, and impose an extreme socialist healthcare plan on Californians, to Rep. Kim’s proven record of fighting to lower income taxes and suspend the California gas tax.

“I am proud of the promises I have kept and the results I have delivered for Southern California,” said Rep. Young Kim. “I have worked to combat government overreach, reduce inflation, and help create local jobs. I stand by my record and am committed to passing more legislation that will create opportunities for our community.”

The new ad also touts Rep. Kim’s most recent endorsement – The Orange County Register. In its endorsement, Rep. Kim was described as a “capable legislator” with “a record backing up what she says.” By contrast, the newspaper said of her leftist opponent, “While Mahmood may be the choice of partisan Democrats, we can find no legitimate reason for him to be representing a congressional district.”

Rep. Young Kim enters the final stretch of the campaign as the clear frontrunner in CA-40. Recent polls show her leading Mahmood by double digits, and the Cook Political Report rates this race as “Likely Republican”.
