CA-40 News: Rep. Young Kim Raises Over $830k in the First Quarter of 2024 Cycle

Kim remains one of the top House fundraisers

Yorba Linda, CA – Today, Young Kim for Congress announced that the campaign brought in over $830,000 in the first three months of 2023 with over $900,000 cash-on-hand, an impressive number 17 months out from the general election.

Since first elected in 2020, Kim has repeatedly posted strong fundraising numbers, showing her strength as a bipartisan dealmaker in Congress. Since day one, Kim’s campaign has been fueled by small dollar, grassroots donors who believe in her mission to lower taxes, protect veterans, and provide quality, affordable healthcare for all Americans.

“Congresswoman Kim remains one of the strongest fundraisers in the House and, after a 13-point victory in 2022, she is a force to be reckoned with for any challenger,” stated Sam Oh, campaign consultant to Young Kim. “Young continues to fight for her community in Congress and these fundraising numbers are a reflection of her commitment to Southern California and the results she has delivered.”

Kim currently represents California’s 40th district, one of 18 Republican-held seats that President Biden won in 2020. These strong fundraising numbers come after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee labeled her seat a top target in the 2024 cycle. Cook Political Report rates the seat as Likely Republican.
