CA-40: Rep. Young Kim Raises $1.3 Million in Q1; Cash-on-Hand Surpasses All Opponents’ Combined

Kim remains one of House’s most prolific fundraisers, has $2.6 million cash-on-hand to begin 2026 cycle.

Yorba Linda, CA – Today, U.S. Representative Young Kim announced another prolific fundraising quarter, raising nearly $1.3 million in the FEC’s first quarter of 2025. Kim ends the quarter with $2.6 million cash-on-hand, more than all of her opponents’ cash-on-hand totals combined.

Young Kim continues to fight for her constituents, recently being ranked the most effective lawmaker from California and among the top 10 in the House of Representatives by the Center for Effective Lawmaking. In her third term, Kim is consistently ranked one of the most bipartisan and effective members of Congress.

“Young Kim continues to demonstrate that she is a force to be reckoned with as she runs circles around her challengers in fundraising and her colleagues in Congress in effectiveness. She is everywhere in her district and not slowing down,” said Sam Oh.

Kim glided to victory in 2024 by 10.6% and outperformed the top of the ticket by over 8%. Kim defeated the Democrat field in the 2024 primary by 12.8% (56.4% to 43.6%), and was re-elected in 2022 by 13.6% in a seat that Joe Biden won by 1.9%.

Kim serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, House Financial Services Committee, and House China Select Committee.
