Kim’s Strong Local and Grassroots Support Garners Recognition by the House Republican’s Campaign Arm
Fullerton, CA– Today, former State Assemblywoman Young Kim announced she was named an “On the Radar” candidate by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Dubbed as one of the top recruits in the country by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Young Kim makes the first level of the NRCC’s Young Guns program which supports strong Republican candidates in targeted races.
“Young Kim is an established leader in the region who voters know and trust. Voters in the 39th district have been let down with the broken promises of their current representative. Young is battle-tested and prepared to wage a strong campaign against one of the most vulnerable members of Congress so she can deliver positive results for all Californians,” said general consultant Sam Oh.
In recent weeks, the Young Kim for Congress campaign has shown a groundswell of local support as they have announced the endorsements of 33 current and local city council members in Orange County. Kim has already received the endorsements of the California Republican Party, Republican Party of Orange County, Republican Party of Los Angeles County, and the San Bernardino Republican Party.
California’s 39th congressional district overlaps portions of Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and includes the cities and communities of Anaheim Hills, Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Diamond Bar, Hacienda Heights, La Habra Heights, Rowland Heights, Walnut, and Chino Hills.
